The Sun Is Mine Ba- ba ba (do do do do) ba ba ba etc The sun reflects upon the distant past where my heart still beats today There burns a fire inside that glows again every time you show your face Rescue my spirit on this summers day ‘Cos only you can take the blues away - ah ah Ba ba ba ba Ba ba ba ba etc The dazzle of the chalk hills shines a light over all who care to dream The distant echoing of songs we used to know that set the scene Watching the sky we talk into the night My optimism reaches dizzy heights Ba ba ba ba Ba ba ba ba etc The sun looks good to me Ba ba ba ba Ba ba ba ba So cool and quiet as the breeze it sings to me I think of who I am and what I used to be The night is calm I clear my mind and count to three This all looks good to me Solo Rescue my spirit on this summers day ‘Cos only you can take these blues away Nobody going to take this from me (the sun is mine) Nobody going to take this from me (the sun is mine) Nobody going to take this from me (the sun is mine) Nobody going to take this from me The sun is mine (the sun is mine) Ba ba ba ba Ba ba ba ba etc Summer sing to me Ba ba ba ba Ba ba ba ba etc The sun looks good to me Ba ba ba ba Ba ba ba ba Summer sing to me Ba ba ba ba Ba ba ba ba etc

A Kiss On The Ocean You’re there each morning when I wake up Each morning there’s a glow that only you could know There is no other tonic for me, No other place I’d Rather be than here with thee. Above the ocean where we sing and dance (aah) I kiss the water just to get one glance(aah) CHORUS Well, I never thought I’d love you as much as I do today-No way, No, I never thought I’d love you as much as I do today-No way, Jose, Well I never thought I’d see you as someone I could be, You’ll see, you’ll set me free. When you’re with me you’re always alone with me You’re always home alone with me, your clone, There is a picture of you, a view, a picture, Have you ever seen the like before? Behold this vision taking pride of place (aah) A vivid reproduction of my face (aah) REPEAT CHORUS

Hey Stranger 05:10
HEY STRANGER Hey stranger, I ain’t seen you in some time And I’m wonderin’ how ya are It’s been an age since we spoke, And I’m wonderin’ where you coulda been Or what you’ve done or who you’ve seen Or where ya might be now I pray you’ll speak these words to me somehow Hey stranger, I wish that I could see the celebration in your eyes The soul and the expression, and the joy that I depend upon The wisdom I relied on, may be absent for today I hold that thought but still you slip away Winding down, as the circus heads straight out of town The bright side is awaiting your arrival But fate returns you again Is destiny a lie Hey there stranger, I found a letter that you wrote me back some time ago You had a million things to say coherently expressed, Now all I’m left to do is second guess. Round and round, see the circus heading back to town The bright side singing songs of our survival Will fate returns us again Or leave us high and dry Heaven, Hell, Earth, sea and shore, From the surface to the core A nation screams and shouts for more. (and then everybody starts singing like this) Ba-ba-ba etc Hey stranger, I dreamt about you once again, A picture of the past, And all the places that we played, Whatever, I’ll remember you this way. Ba – ba – ba etc

Saving It All For A Saturday First one up the brickworks will be captain for the afternoon The car parks been abandoned now the works have been shut down A taste in moderation, sister slips into a coma And she wakes with muddy finger marks beneath her new white blouse And no wonder all the shops are hiring thugs to gyard te doors It’s not what the came to the country for They were hoping for a little bit more than this Underneath the TV set a stain upon the carpet Barely covered by the VHS that nobody can work Empty cans of kestrel by the cigarette burned sofa Now there’s extra medication every evening down the pub Oh Lord another mouth to feed that no one can afford One more to fill the lines and numbers Oh we’re saving it all for a Saturday All of the family and everybody else The weekends coming and I won’t be stopping in All by myself Almost 50cc of unbridled teen rebellion When the boys all ride together to the sound of angry bees Postman flips a finger to the girl upon the corner Who’s been hanging out her nighty with her fanny in the breeze On board the number thirty to the other sound of town You’re one more among the endless faces Oh we’re saving it all for a Saturday All of the family and everybody else The weekends coming and I won’t be stopping in All by myself The weekends coming and I won’t be stopping in All by myself Clones by starlight We’ll be home by sunrise Oh - saving it all for a Saturday All of the family and everybody else The weekends coming and I won’t be stopping in All by myself Yeah - Oh we’re saving it all for a Saturday All of the family and everybody else The weekends coming and I won’t be stopping in All by myself The weekends coming and I won’t be stopping in All by myself

Paper Stone Scissors When did the chosen few then become a crowd People forgive me I’m thinking out aloud About all who are stolen as time marches by How to decide who’s to live or to die Back in a time when I couldn’t give a damn Blissfully unaware of my fellow man I would dream of the future and all I could be Assuming that you’d all still be there with me CHORUS In the skies the dictator I despise will gun you down Breeding chaos all around Good die young, Is your work here never done Now satisfied? There’s a tyrant in the sky Boys and girls just soldier on – blissfully young How does one make these decisions of a day Are there accomplices to they have a say on Who gets it or who has to sit this one out Paper, stone scissors heads up its your shout MIDDLE EIGHT I saw the signs from a very young age When they said that “they’re coming to take me away” Oh so sinister the innocence of youth.

Empires, Buildings and Acquisitions Mmm….mm..mm.m…mm..mm.mmm.mm Black smoke, the chimneys choking and the TV growls, It’s all but broken This closed space, is almost taken up but we don’t mind No one breaks it up The points conceded – We’ve a little bit less than needed But all in all the roof is sound the walls can hold a tune And we’re happy where we are Until the stars ignite the oceans and the earth is a glow You can try your best to move us on but we won’t go And you can’t say fairer than that No you can’t say fairer than that And when the sun goes down and they’re coming through the windows Be clear and fearless Black heart, Midas fingers and he strides the world with a smell that lingers And he won’t back down and he won’t be broken And he’ll shut your mouth – if you’re outspoken And he won’t come to discuss He’ll shoot you from a distance with a blunderbuss And all the while the country gents discreetly turn away While the odds are stacked against us see the Policemen hidden in the sand dunes (ah ah ah ah) You bought protection for your pitch and putt Who show the diggers to the backyards dig it up You should know better than that Yes you should know better than that And when the sun goes down and they’re coming through the windows In twilight, does nobody see you at all? Does nobody see you at all? Empires, buildings and acquisitions With your goons for hire and your paid permissions Oh we won’t back down to your cold ambition Though we can’t compete with your ammunition You’re a big, bad, bowl of wrong So take it on the chin son and move along For while the roof is good and strong the walls will hold this tune Though you lie when your denied you know You should know better than that Yes you should know better than that And when the sun goes down and they’re coming through the windows They’ll be coming through the windows (when the sun goes down) They’ll be coming through the windows (when the sun goes down) They’ll be coming through the windows (when the sun goes down)

Where The Memories Fester Midnight flight, check my vision, count the rhythm of the Devil’s own time Rhythmic heart ripples forming with obedience suppressing my fight Raise my glass to the tenderness of summer grass release my senses Bid farewell to the misery of Bathing in your tears – The tenderness of years The docile and the dumb – The joy that never comes The dreams of disappointment shut the doors on all your aspirations The tears that burn your cheeks – The pain endured for weeks The noise inside your head - The screaming of the dead The yearning for the other side - The comfort when you’re suicidal Ooh ooh etc Roses gather dust – The sordid taste of lust The aftermath of love, that took you from above And threw you to the floor devoid of dignity your heart beats no more Bathing in your pain – Your misery their gain They dance into the dark – You’re drifting from your mark The ever-present chaos, the inevitable has no meaning Kick down the door Don’t let them in (Just me) Let me escape from the chains Where the memories fester Kick down the door Don’t let them in (Just me) Let me escape from the chains Where the memories fester (memories fester) Ah ah ah ah ah etc Midnight flight, check my vision, count the rhythm of the Devil’s own time Rhythmic heart ripples forming with obedience suppressing my fight Kick down the door Don’t let them in (Just me) Let me escape from the chains Where the memories fester Midnight flight, check my vision, count the rhythm of the Devil’s own time Rhythmic heart ripples forming with obedience suppressing my fight Kick down the door Don’t let them in (Just me) Let me escape from the chains Where the memories fester Kick down the door Don’t let them in (Just me) Let me escape from the chains Where the memories fester (memories fester)

TWILIGHT SUB-PLOT It scares me, The tricks my thoughts display when deep in slumber, I sell out my soul, The twilight sub-plot pulls me under, From the outside in I strive to win the battles I don’t have the Nerve to fight in my life, Will these actions then destroy my karma Or even tear out my soul? Once again I can’t re-trace my steps for walking all over you No focus, no reason, no compassion, no-one driving From the outside in I strive to win the battles I don’t have the Nerve to fight in my life, If this autopilot gets the green light I may just sink without trace. One last dream before the Twilight sub-plot pulls me under.

Getting A License I feel an ocean coming over my emotional composure And it won’t stop coming in I took a taste from out of space And now I’m wasted - face to face With everyone I’ve ever been Taking it all on one day Sleeping it off ‘til Sunday Saving the suit ‘til Monday arrives I’m alive Ooh oh ooh oh But I’ll be getting a license Ooh oh ooh oh Yeah I’ll be getting a license It’s what we do, the chosen few And I’ll be getting a license, getting a license soon This information keeps me stationery Rooted to the ground – see how the walls are coming in Escaping all this mess impossible – everything you know is wrong Surprise, surprise – you’re on your own again Taking it all on one day Sleeping it off ‘til Sunday Saving the suit ‘til Monday arrives I’m alive Ooh oh ooh oh But I’ll be getting a license Ooh oh ooh oh Yeah I’ll be getting a license It’s what we do, the chosen few And I’ll be getting a license, getting a license soon Ahhhhhh……. Ahhhhhh Back to where it all begins Strike the band and start again And I’m gone But I don’t know where I’ve been Ooh oh ooh oh And I’ll be getting a license Ooh oh ooh oh Yeah I’ll be getting a license It’s what we do, the chosen few And I’ll be getting a license, getting a license soon

Clean 05:21
Clean Clean – She sliced into the seam - The undisputed queen The ghost in my machine Black – A surgical attack - She always had the knack She threw my pieces back You have to choose to overcome And when the moments been and gone you let it go You’ve got it all to do And if it’s only in your mind Maybe I’m cruel just to be kind When it’s over – Make it clean There is no remedy – To end this misery You have to keep it clean You push to keep it breathing - The consequence of dreaming Keep this clean Accused – I watched her every move - The judge did not approve He told me I’m confused The facts – She stopped me in my tracks - And told me to relax Then knifed me in my back There is no gesture you could make There is no perfect thing to say that's going to change the way this must play out And if it’s hard to comprehend, well every story has to end When it’s over – Keep it clean There is no remedy - To end this misery You have to keep it clean The consequence of dreaming, you push to keep it breathing Keep this clean Rage arrives then dissipates Blurs the edge between love and hatred when it’s colder than before I don’t believe you know - I don’t believe that you know So keep it clean The cry becomes a scream - Goodbye to self esteem You should have kept this clean When love becomes obsession - And all about possession You've got to make it clean You push to keep it breathing - The consequence of dreaming We’ve got to make it clean. Na na – na na na na na na etc
